Melodyjne country. Piosenka prześladuje mnie ostatnio w samochodzie. Na krótkich trasach w zasadzie leci bez przerwy. Nie samymi Beatlesami się żyje. Na piosenkę wpadłem przypadkowo, o wykonawcy nie wiem nic. Jeśli kogoś on zaciekawi to jest youtube i internet. No i song w sam raz na weekend. Choć nie polecam "żyć tylko dla weekendów". W stylu country, ale z mocnym zacięciem rockowym. Numer 9 w 2016 na gatunkowej liście Billboardu. W 2012 Gilbert miał swój jak dotąd jedyny numer 1 w Ameryce "Bottoms Up"). Co prawda znowu na liście piosenek country, ale to tak ogromny rynek w Ameryce, że komercyjny sukces musiał się przełożyć na ogromne pieniądze. "The Weekend" jest bardziej zdecydowany do szerszego grona fanów, nie tylko tych spod znaku siodła, lassa i konia. Obu piosenek wypada słuchać bardzo głośno.  Polecam więcej piosenek Brantley'a.
