Dwie fajne piosenki, choć w sumie to chciałbym zachęcić Was do poznania koncertu z którego pochodzą. Jest zapewne cały na YT. Pierwsza z nich to "Me And My Monkey', moim zdaniem jedna z najlepszych piosenek w dorobku dawnego członka boysbandu Take That. Oczywiście brytyjskiego. Bandu oczywiście. Niewydana na singlu przypuszczalnie z powodu swojej objętości; to ponad 7 minut, ale może powodem była mniejsza komercyjność piosenki niż wydane z tego samego albumu piosenkarza piosenki 'Feel', 'Sexed Up' czy 'Come Undone'. Nie bardzo, a może nawet wcale nie śledzę karier boysbandów i nie wiem na jakim etapie gwiazdorstwa jest np. Harry Styles z One Direction, ale wydaje mi się, że tylko Robbie Williams, będąc członkiem popularnego na całym świecie boysbandu Take That, po jego opuszczeniu zrobił gigantyczną karierę. Zrobił, ważny jest tutaj niestety czas przeszyły,bo od lat kariera Williamsa całkowicie się zatrzymała. Ale miał swoje 5 minut. Lista jego wielkich światowych przebojów jest naprawdę imponująca. Nikt z np. New Kids On The Block, Backstreet Boys... Stop. Jest jednak ktoś taki i w trakcie pisania tego tekstu przypomniałem sobie o nim. Po opuszczeniu N'Sync mega-gigantyczną karierę (skoro już użyłem przy Robbiem przymiotnika 'gigantyczny') zrobił - która zresztą wciąż błyszczy najjaśniejszym blaskiem - Justin Timberlake. Lubię bardzo jego 'Mirrors'. Chyba tylko to.
Wracając do Robbiego. W 2003 roku otrzymałem w prezencie dvd z koncertem Williamsa w legendarnym Knebworth, obok Glastonbury najbardziej znanym i kultowym w Wielkiej Brytanii miejscu wielkich koncertów i festiwali rockowych. Robbie był wtedy u szczytu swojej kariery i szczerze polecam ten koncert. "What We Did Last Summer, Knebworth Live '2003". Koncertowe wydanie video koncertu Robbiego wrażenie a małą próbkę możecie usłyszeć w znakomicie wykonanej piosence 'Me And My Monkey' (małpka w slangu ang. to nałóg). Na koniec jeszcze piękna 'Angels'. Robbie w najlepszej formie od lat. Dwie, mimo wszystko niezwykłe i niespodziewane piosenki w repertuarze kogoś, kto śpiewał w w tak beznadziejnym jak dla mnie Take That, bo dodam, że lubiłem np. wiele przebojów Backstreetów. Ah ten mój paskudny gust. Ale dzieciak w domu więc leciała i taka muzyka...There was me and my monkey
