PAUL McCARTNEY: Jest taka zabawna historia z nagrywania 'Hey Jude'. Byliśmy w Trident Studios w Soho, gdy Ringo wyszedł do toalety, czego nikt z nas nie zauważył. Toaleta była niedaleko jego bębnów. Przeszedł za moimi plecami więc ciągle myślałem, że siedzi przy perkusji. Rozpocząłem aktualny take i 'Hey Jude' leciało godzinami zanim pojawiła się w nim perkusja i kiedy śpiewałem ją, wyczułem uderzenia Ringa na moich plecach, bardzo delikatne i raczej szybkie, który próbował dostać się do perkusji. I kiedy do nich dotarł i zagrał bum, bum, bum! jego timing był bez zarzutu. I wiesz, kiedy coś takiego się dzieje, trochę się śmiejesz, gdy nagle żaróweczka w mojej głowie się zapaliła. To było to! To ten take! Wkładasz w niego coś więcej i myślisz, kurwa, tak! To musi być ten take, bo to co się stało to była czysta magia. Zrobiliśmy więc go i to było dobre nagranie.
