Meat Loaf i Jim Steinman.

Kompozycja Jima Steinmana, amerykańskiego muzyka, kompozytora i producenta. Największe sukcesy odniósł jako producent płyt Meat Loafa, dokładnie Michaela Lee Aday'a,ekstrawaganckiego muzyka (ciekawe  przecież pseudo artystyczne), także aktora (np. 'Fight Club' z Bradem Pittem i Edwardem Nortonem). Piosenka spełniła pewnie rock and rollowe marzenia Jima, bo wylądował z nią na liście Billboardu na 32 miejscu (w 1981 roku), zaś jego podopieczny (spore przecież tantiemy dla Jima) 13 lat później na 13 w USA a 11 w Wielkiej Brytanii.  Kompozycja Steinmana to piekna rock and rollowa ballada, interesująca w obu wykonaniach, choć w wersji Meat Loafa zdecydowanie bardziej przebojowa. Meat Loaf to szalenie oryginalna postać w muzyce rockowej. Mam kilka dvd z jego koncertami i zawsze są to spektakle, prawie teatry muzyczne. Większość swoich wielkich największych przebojów Meat Loaf zawdzięcza współpracy ze Steinmanem jak np: "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad", "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)", "Life Is a Lemon and I Want My Money Back" czy "Objects in the Rear View Mirror May Appear Closer than They Are". Kolejną wartą zwrócenia uwagi w twórczości obu panów: Meat Loafa i Jima Steinmana to teledyski. Ich przeboje to nie tylko bardzo często długie tytuły, ale zawsze rozbudowane, bardzo widowiskowe videoclipy. 

Meat Loaf, Brad i Edward.

Lata największej popularności Meat Loafa to oczywiście okres prosperity MTV. Wracając do opisywanej piosenki. Cóż, dla mnie ma piosenka w sobie to coś, że mimo uparcie przedłużających się refrenów, powtarzających się muzycznych tych samych fraz, utwór nie nuży, wprost przeciwnie. Warto go - wiem, że często to powtarzam - zamknąć oczy, nastawić sprzęt na bardzo głośno i niech nasze rock and rollowe marzenia przychodzą. Z realizacją ich czasem może być gorzej. Występującą w clipie przepiękną Angelinę Jolię zdobył kolega Meat Loafa z planu 'Fight Clubu'. Oczywiście, nie ma mam na myśli Nortona. Przy okazji oczywiście polecam film
